Sensex may plunge further: April 2010

by Hemz on Apr.19, 2010, under Indianomics

Sensex may take a plunge by the end of April following cues from the International Markets.

Trade and other services were recently hit by the Airspace closure in Europe and it has affected many businesses as much as the travellers alike. Add to that the Goldman Sachs fraud will only come more clear this weekend which can lead to much needed correction in the market.

Activity in the market will increase by May and expect good returns.

F1 season gets set go!

by Hemz on Mar.12, 2010, under Formula1, Sports

Brilliant! Finally we have the F1 season starting today.

The show stealers at the first practice session were Force India’s Adrian Sutil (Well it gives me some patriotic shot in my arm) and Robert Kubica for Renault. Tonio had a fine run to be the 7th fastest while the 7 time world champ Schumi ended up 10th fastest.

This line up does not necessarily help predict the actual result since this is a time where you do practice sessions and testing and changes over the weekend for the race on Sunday.

This move comes after facing two failed deals with African major MTN, whose deal size would have ranged from 20 to 25$ billion.

Reports suggest that Bharati is offering 10$ Billion for all of Zain’s assets except Morocco and Sudan. The valuations are out there with out any supporting evidence of the actual value and the premium justification. Bharati says that it values the Zain assets at $12 Billion which seems absurd.
